Legal authorities have announced that a former physician stands accused of carrying out sexual assaults involving thirty-eight individuals who were under his care.
Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham faces allegations of numerous acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against minors under the age of thirteen – spanning the period from 2017 and 2021.
A senior prosecutor commented, “Our prosecutors have diligently worked to assist a thorough and intricate investigation, meticulously examining the available evidence to determine that there is a strong case to bring the case to trial and that it is in the public interest.”
These allegations come after what police called a “detailed inquiry” into alleged sexual offences at medical facilities: a hospital in Stoke-on-Trent and a facility in Dudley.
The defendant is scheduled to appear at the local magistrates' court on January 20th.
