Fantastic $30 Map-Making Humble Bundle Is a Virtual Tabletop GM's Dream

After a brief run back in April, this cartography software collection is back for a limited time available through early December. Described as a "treasure trove of assets and apps" developed by ProFantasy Software over the years, the complete package is valued at over $1,300. Additionally, there exist three different bundles available here.

The Main Attraction

The big draw is definitely a lifetime license for Campaign Cartographer 3+, a professional-grade mapping application that can be used to create everything from fantasy overworld maps, smaller regional maps, city maps, and, perhaps most importantly, dungeon and tabletop battle maps.

Package Levels

Entry Level

The cheapest bundle tier, at a minimum cost of $1, features merely four from the thirty-nine available products: Fantasy Overland Symbol Collection, Monster Token Pack 1, Source Maps: Castles!, Urban Source Maps. This one's only for cartographers who already have CC3+, but it does offer new fantasy symbol styles for overworld maps, over seven hundred fifty creature tokens for use in virtual tabletops, over twenty-five aerial castle designs with 470 associated map tokens, eight fully mapped cities, plus seventy-plus building interiors.

Mid-Range Option

The eight-product collection for at least $15 is where things get more interesting by adding in permanent CC3+ access, the first Annual volume, Ultimate Mapping Guidebook, Isometric Cities Symbol Pack. The Annual represents the yearly bundle from the company's ongoing subscription program which includes multiple CC3+ enhancements including map packs and additional utilities. The Isometric Cities enables present urban areas in 3D perspective using angled views from all sides. And the Tome of Ultimate Mapping is a 760-page for beginners and "power users" alike, packed with guidance and instructions covering cartography techniques.

Every volume from the Annual series are included here, alongside a slew of other resource and asset packs enabling creators to craft complete solar systems, or focus exclusively on classic fantasy realm creation: combat arenas, dungeons, cities, and land masses in multiple viewpoints. You can even design character portraits. At thirty versus fifteen dollars, the complete collection is so worth it, particularly for mappers with temporary CC3+ access seeking permanent licensing. But it's obviously an even better deal for map-making newbies considering you even get the beginners' tutorials to facilitate learning. The sole limitation though the purchase is available on any platform, the software is only usable on Windows.

Philanthropic Aspect

As with other Humble Bundles, a portion of each sale goes to benefit a nonprofit. For this one, that's Save the Children, an organization founded by Eglantyne Jebb in 1919 focused on improving the lives of children worldwide through education, health care, and emergency relief. Package customization options appear near the page top, but you can also select their donation amount on the right side of the page. There's also an donation allocation menu just below that, allowing you to adjust the distribution percentage allocated between the platform, developer, and charity.
